A Curious Thing Happened To Me On The Way To My Future

Life is "trying things to see if they work". -- Ray Bradbury

Last August, I decided to try something to see if it worked... and Cafe Curiousity was the result! It did indeed work for a time, and I have found much enjoyment in my little store in New Toulouse.  But as with all good things, its time has run it's course.  On June 1st, I will be closing the doors, and taking lots of good memories and life lessons with me.

This past year has brought many changes to the grid - mesh furnishings are now commonplace, and the humble little sculptie that's always been so fun for me to build with is considered by many to be out of style. This amuses me - since Cafe Curiousity has always been stocked with items from yesteryear, little oddities that I hope have found their way into nooks and crannies in various homes across our world.  I'm not feeling the urge to learn to make mesh items... want to know a secret?  I'm not feeling the urge to work too hard at all!

By this time next week, I plan to be relaxing on a beach in Costa Rica, or on Ceejay's boat in Armada Breakaway, soaking up the sun and sipping a colorful drink accented by a small umbrella.  It will be good to rest!  I'll still keep my job writing my "Ten Places" column for Prim Perfect magazine each month, so you shouldn't worry that I'll become a total bum!

My thanks go to everyone who supported my little adventure. It was fun, wasn't it?  Now scoot. You know you can't live another day without snapping up that little green chamber pot upstairs, or maybe that little coffin filled with fabric bolts.... or one of those truly uncomfortable couches. Every horrid item is there till June 1st! Be well, and I'll see you here and there!

Much Love,
